Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings has projected that the emerging United Arab Emirates (UAE) gaming market could generate around US$5 billion annually, positioning the country as one of the most lucrative new jurisdictions for integrated resorts. Speaking on the company’s third-quarter earnings call, Billings said Wynn anticipates two rival operators to eventually join the UAE market, creating a three-player competitive landscape. He described the region’s potential as “significant and sustainable,” driven by strong inbound tourism, luxury spending, and regulatory readiness.
The 199-room ultra-luxury hotel on Cotai, The 13 Hotel, has publicly advertised 46 job openings, signalling that the property is actively preparing for a relaunch or reopening phase. The roles span a wide range of functions: personnel and finance department staff, laundry attendants, drivers, receptionists, private butlers, gardeners, cleaning personnel, engineering technicians and supervisors, and food & beverage service positions.
The HKJC has confirmed that its new facility, Conghua Racecourse in Guangdong Province, Mainland China, will host its first official race meeting on 31 October 2026, featuring an initial card of “five or six” races. Previously, the launch had been scheduled for April 2026 but was delayed to ensure full completion of construction and alignment with evolving national policy.
Melco reported that its hold-adjusted margin for its Macau operations reached 27.6% in its third quarter of 2025, up from 24.8% a year earlier. However, despite that improvement, management noted margin expansion remains hindered by a highly competitive market environment in Macau.
The casino-operation contract between SJM Resorts Ltd. and Macau Legend Development Ltd. has been terminated, and SJM has confirmed that Legend Palace will cease operations at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday 12 November 2025. According to filings, the early termination of the service agreement takes effect from 13 November 2025, with operations ending the day before.
